About
Governor Phil Murphy has signed a joint resolution designating the second Monday in May as “Economic Development Day” in New Jersey.
This resolution aims to encourage public officials, business leaders, and residents to organize and attend events to discuss job creation, economic resiliency, and the optimization of economic development programs. The resolution was sponsored by Senator Robert Singer, Senator Loretta Weinberg, Assemblyman Edward Thomson, Assemblyman Sean Kean, and Assemblywoman Betty Lou DeCroce.
In line with this, a Pre NJ Economic Development Day Summit is scheduled to take place on March 5th at Georgian Court University Historic Mansion in Lakewood, NJ.
This summit will bring together Mayors, leaders from Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development Organizations, and other business and community leaders to discuss and collaborate on economic development initiatives. Notable Economic Development figures from the State of NJ will be lending their perspectives and expertise on driving economic growth in the state.
The summit aims to facilitate open discussions, idea sharing, and networking opportunities to strengthen collective efforts towards economic development throughout New Jersey. With the recent declaration of “Economic Development Day,” this summit provides a timely platform for leaders to align their efforts in support of this important initiative and help them host events throughout their communities strengthening economic growth and Job creation opportunities in their districts.
Overall, the Pre NJ Economic Development Day Summit promises to be an impactful event that will empower leaders to empower their communities with resources and events helping drive collaboration and advance economic growth throughout New Jersey.
